July 25, 2022 (Wilmington, Delaware): Last week, Lang Cares sponsored a Nature Camp for Wilmington Head Start in collaboration with the University of Delaware Lab School. The camp lasted one week and allowed children from Wilmington Head Start the chance to experience nature for the first time. Daily activities included exploring in the woods, playing in the creek, learning about nearby animals, and discovering all the joys of being in nature. With the help of two UD Lab School Lead Teachers, Katie Pollock and Kristen Chandler, the camp was a huge success. We are so happy to give children the opportunity to experience the outdoors in a whole new way and look forward to continuing this camp for years to come!
